How we work

Fintechs, Betting and Financial Services with a business mindset

Financial services require authorization, capital and controls. Fintechs, payment institutions, credit companies, investment platforms and virtual asset service providers need a legal structure able to keep up with an active regulator.

We handle licensing with the Central Bank and the CVM, corporate structure and governance, contracts with banking partners and customers, anti-money laundering and the taxation of the sector.

In the betting market, we follow Provisional Measure 1,394/2026, which banned fixed-odds betting from September 2026, and advise companies and investors on its effects and next steps.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Fintechs, Betting and Financial Services

Does every fintech need Central Bank authorization?

No. It depends on the activity. Payment institutions, credit fintechs and virtual asset service providers have their own rules, while other models operate in partnership with authorized institutions.

Is fixed-odds betting still allowed in Brazil?

Provisional Measure 1,394/2026 banned fixed-odds betting from 25 September 2026. The measure still depends on a vote in Congress and is being challenged at the Supreme Court, so the situation should be monitored closely.

What is Banking as a Service?

It is a model in which an authorized institution provides financial infrastructure so that another company can offer services under its own brand. The contract must allocate regulatory and customer service responsibilities.
